How do I deactivate Cougar Life account?

1. Login to your account, click on the avatar on the top right and select My Account Settings from the dropdown menu
2. Click on the "Account" tab
3. Click on Deactivate your account, and then click on the bottom link ("If you are sure you want to deactivate your account, click here.")
4. Click Deactivate account button. If you still want to proceed, click the OK option to deactivate your account

In the event you would like to cease using the Service and hide your profile or deactivate your account, you have the following two options:

Hide Your Profile: If you select this option, your profile will be removed from all search results; however, we will continue to retain all your profile information and your profile can still be viewed by other users, such as those with which you have previously communicated. You may unselect the "Hide Your Profile" option at any time.

Deactivate My Account: If you select this option, your profile will be removed from all search results and will not otherwise be viewable by other users. However, your message history will be left intact and any users which you have previously interacted with will still be able to access and view the messages you have exchanged. If you select this option, your account, including any personal information related thereto, will not be immediately deleted from our systems; but rather, will be stored and managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may reactivate your account within 24 hours of selecting this option. After this time, you may restore your account by contacting a customer service representative at https://cougarlife.com/contact_us provided your account has not been deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Delete My Account: If you select this option, your profile will be removed from all search results and will not otherwise be viewable by other users. However, your message history will be left intact and any users with whom you have previously interacted will still be able to access and view the messages you have exchanged. If you select this option, your account, including any personal information related thereto, will be deleted from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy. At that point your account cannot be restored.

To select one of the foregoing options, please go to our deactivation page under the 'Account' tab of the 'Account Settings' section on the desktop version of the site.

Automatic Renewals and Cancellation

YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WITH US WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY RENEWED FOR SUCCESSIVE RENEWAL PERIODS OF THE SAME DURATION AS THE SUBSCRIPTION TERM ORIGINALLY SELECTED, OR IF YOU CHANGE SUBSCRIPTIONS, AS LAST SELECTED, AT THE SUBSCRIPTION RATE DISCLOSED TO YOU AT THE TIME OF YOUR INITIAL PURCHASE, UNLESS YOU PROVIDE USE NOTICE OF CANCELATION A MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE END OF YOUR THEN CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION TERM AS PROVIDED BELOW. As noted in Section 5(c), above, each time your subscription renews your account will be credited with the same number of Subscription Credits disclosed to you at the time of your initial purchase. In the event we increase the subscription rate for your applicable subscription term or decrease the number of Subscription Credits provided therewith since your initial subscription purchase or the most recent renewal thereof, in the event your subscription has renewed, we will notify you of such change as contemplated in the section titled "Modifications" at the beginning of these Terms prior to renewing your subscription. You will have the option of continuing your subscription if you agree with the price change in accordance with the terms provided in such notice. If you do not agree with the price change, your subscription will not be renewed.TO CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION AT ANY TIME, PLEASE CALL US AT 1-877-740-3176 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9 A.M. AND 7 P.M. (EASTERN TIME). IF YOU CANCEL, YOU MAY USE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION UNTIL THE END OF YOUR THEN-CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION TERM. YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL NOT BE RENEWED AFTER YOUR THEN-CURRENT TERM EXPIRES. HOWEVER, UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A PRORATED REFUND OF ANY PORTION OF THE SUBSCRIPTION FEE PAID FOR THE THEN-CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR CREDIT CARD IS REJECTED AND YOUR AUTO-RENEW FAILS, YOUR MEMBERSHIP SHALL AUTOMATICALLY BE CANCELLED AND YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO RE-SUBSCRIBE TO THE SERVICE AT THE CURRENT RATE.
